Free tools for running games and tournaments

In short

Five free tools help you run games: a bracket maker for single and double elimination, a padel Mexicano generator that draws each round from the leaderboard, a round-robin generator for leagues, and two that rotate partners across courts, for padel Americano nights and for pickleball. All run in your browser with no sign-up and give you text for WhatsApp, a page to print or a CSV for Excel.

Which tool do I need?

Use the tournament bracket maker for a knockout: single or double elimination for 2 to 64 entrants, with seeding, byes and an optional third-place match.

Use the padel Mexicano generator for a social padel night in which partners change every round and the leaderboard decides the next draw. You type in each round's scores. It takes 4 to 32 players on 1 to 8 courts.

Use the padel Americano generator for a social padel night in which partners change every round and each player keeps an individual score. It handles 4 to 32 players on 1 to 8 courts, rests players in turn when the numbers don't divide by four, and estimates how long the night will take.

Use the pickleball rotation generator for a pickleball open-play or club night in which partners change every round. It uses the same engine as the Americano generator, with games to 11, 15 or 21 and a rotation capped at 8 rounds by default, and takes 4 to 32 players on 1 to 8 courts. Flobit scores pickleball too, but the tool works for any group without it. The pickleball round robin guide explains the formats.

Use the round-robin generator for a league in which every team or player meets every other, once or twice. It handles 3 to 32 entrants, adds a bye when the number is odd, and swaps home and away in the second half of a double round robin.

Not sure which format you are after? The tournament formats guide compares knockouts, leagues, group stages and the rotating-partner formats.

Are the tools free, and what happens to the names I type?

All five tools are free. There is no account to create and nothing to install. They run in your browser, and the names you type are not sent to Flobit.

Each tool ends in the same buttons. Copy for WhatsApp puts the whole schedule on your clipboard as plain text, with each round as a bold heading, ready to paste into a group chat. Download CSV saves it as a spreadsheet for Excel or Google Sheets. Print gives a clean page with only the schedule on it.

Only the Mexicano generator takes scores, because the next round depends on them. The others write the schedule or bracket, and you keep results on paper, in a spreadsheet, or in the app.

What do the tools do that the app doesn't, and the other way round?

Flobit runs Mexicano, not Americano, so the Americano generator fills that gap: use it for the schedule and keep score on paper. For a Mexicano, the web generator works from typed-in scores, while the app adds live scores, referees and a leaderboard that updates itself. The Mexicano guide explains how its pairings work.

For a league, the app does the whole job: fixtures, live scores and a standings table, once or twice round. The round-robin generator is for when you only need the schedule on paper, or want to see the rounds before you open entries. Tournaments in Flobit lists the formats and the organizer options.

Frequently asked questions

Are the free tools really free?

Yes. All five tools are free, have no sign-up and no ads, and run in your browser. The names you type are not sent anywhere. Except for the Mexicano generator, they write schedules only, so scores and standings stay on your own sheet or in a Flobit tournament.

Which padel formats does Flobit run?

Single and double elimination, leagues, group + knockout and Mexicano. Americano isn't one of them, which is why the Americano generator exists: it builds that schedule for you to print or paste into a chat, and you keep score on paper.

Can I share the schedule with my group?

Yes. Each tool has a Copy for WhatsApp button that puts the schedule on your clipboard as plain text, with each round as a bold heading, a Download CSV button for Excel or Google Sheets, and a Print button for a clean page at the court.

How many players or teams can the tools handle?

The bracket maker takes 2 to 64 entrants. The Mexicano and Americano generators take 4 to 32 players on 1 to 8 courts, and so does the pickleball rotation generator. The round-robin generator takes 3 to 32 teams or players, single or double. Bigger fields are better split into groups with a knockout after; the tournament formats guide explains how.
