Flobit Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Welcome to Flobit. These Terms are the agreement between you and Flobit MMC. They explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and who is responsible when something goes wrong.
Please read section 4 carefully. Flobit helps you meet people and play sport in the real world, and that carries real risk that we cannot manage for you.
By creating an account or using Flobit, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Flobit.
Languages. We publish these Terms in English, Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and Spanish. If a translation and the English version ever disagree, the English version is the one that applies — translations are provided so the Terms are readable, not to change what they say.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Flobit is operated by Flobit MMC, a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan, at 8 November 42, Baku AZ1000, Azerbaijan.
In these Terms, "Flobit", "we", "us" and "our" mean Flobit MMC. "You" means the person using Flobit.
These Terms cover everything we make: the Flobit iPhone app, the Apple Watch app, the home screen and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities, and any website or service we operate at flobit.app. We call all of it "Flobit" or "the Service".
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect and why. It forms part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Flobit.
You must also be able to enter a binding agreement in your country, and not be barred from using Flobit under any applicable law. If you're using Flobit on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these Terms for it.
One person, one account. Don't create an account for someone else, and don't share yours.
3. Your account
Creating an account. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.
Accurate information. Give us real information about yourself. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't misrepresent your identity, age, skill level, or match results.
Your username. Usernames must follow the rules shown in the app. You can change your username, but only once every 30 days. We may reclaim a username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is used in bad faith.
Changing your password. When you change your password, we sign you out everywhere. That's deliberate — it's how you lock out anyone who shouldn't be there.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself, from Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent. Section 15 explains what happens to your data and your match history when you do.
4. Playing matches in the real world
This is the section that matters most.
Flobit helps you find people to play sport with. The playing itself happens in the physical world, between you and other people, and Flobit is not there.
You understand and accept that:
- We do not vet, screen, or run background checks on anyone. A Flobit profile is not a character reference. Skill levels, ELO ratings, sportsmanship ratings, match histories, and community memberships are self-reported, self-generated, or the opinions of other players, and we don't verify them.
- Sport carries a risk of injury. Strains, sprains, collisions, falls, heatstroke, and worse are ordinary risks of amateur sport. You play at your own risk. Make sure you're fit to play, warm up properly, and stop when you need to. If you have a medical condition, talk to a doctor before playing.
- We don't control venues. Courts, pitches, and facilities listed in Flobit are operated by third parties, and some are suggested by other players. We don't inspect them, and we don't guarantee that a venue exists, is open, is safe, is free, or is what its listing says.
- You're responsible for meeting strangers safely. Meet in public places. Tell someone where you're going. Trust your instincts and leave if you're uncomfortable.
- Disputes between players are between players. Scores, no-shows, damaged equipment, split court fees, arguments — we're not a referee for real-world disagreements, and we don't arbitrate them.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Flobit is not liable for injury, loss, damage, or dispute arising from matches you arrange or play, from people you meet, or from venues you visit through Flobit. Section 16 explains the limits on our liability more fully.
If you feel unsafe because of another player's behaviour, block them and report them in the app, and contact your local emergency services if you're in danger. We can suspend accounts, but we cannot protect you in the moment.
5. Guest players
Flobit lets you add a guest player to a match — someone who played with you but doesn't have a Flobit account. A guest is a name in a match record. Guests have no account, no profile, no login, and no rating — they are never given a sportsmanship rating and never give one.
When you add a guest, you confirm you have that person's permission to enter their name into Flobit. You're responsible for what you enter about other people, including guests, and you must not add a name that identifies someone who has asked you not to, or that is offensive, misleading, or impersonating.
If someone contacts us because their name appears in Flobit as a guest without their agreement, we'll remove or anonymise it.
6. Communities and tournaments
Flobit lets players create communities and run tournaments.
Organisers are independent. A community or tournament created in Flobit is run by the player who created it, not by us. We don't endorse, sponsor, verify, supervise, or take responsibility for any community, tournament, its rules, its brackets, its results, or its organiser's conduct.
If you organise, you're responsible. You must have the right to use any name, logo, or image you upload. You must run your event lawfully and honestly, keep any promises you make to participants, and comply with these Terms — including the acceptable-use rules in section 9 — in everything you post.
If you participate, you're agreeing to whatever the organiser sets out. Read it before you register.
7. Entry fees
Some tournaments show an entry fee.
Flobit never handles that money. The fee shown in the app is information the organiser has entered so players know what to expect. Any payment happens directly between you and the organiser, outside Flobit, by whatever means you agree.
That means:
- We are not a party to the payment, not a payment processor, and not a merchant of record.
- We don't collect, hold, transfer, or refund entry fees.
- We can't help with refunds, chargebacks, or fee disputes. Those are between you and the organiser.
- We don't guarantee that a stated fee is accurate, that an event will happen, or that an organiser will honour anything.
Flobit is free to use. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll tell you before they apply to you, and we'll update these Terms.
8. Your content and the licence you give us
Your content stays yours. Photos, profile details, community and tournament descriptions, share cards you build, messages you send, match records you create — you own what you create, and nothing here transfers ownership to us.
The licence we need. To run Flobit, we need permission to handle your content. You give Flobit MMC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical purposes such as resizing, publish, and display your content:
- to operate the Service — showing your profile to the people it's meant for, delivering your messages, rendering your match history, generating share cards; and
- to promote Flobit — featuring content in our App Store listing, website, and social channels.
Limits on the promotional use. We'll only feature content that you've made visible to others in the app. We won't use your private messages, and we won't suggest you endorse Flobit or anything else. If you'd rather we didn't feature your content, email [email protected] and we'll stop.
The licence ends when you delete. Delete a piece of content, or your account, and the licence for it ends. Two practical exceptions: copies may persist in backups for a limited period before they're overwritten, and promotional material already published — a screenshot in an App Store listing, a post already up — may remain until it's next updated.
You must have the rights. Only upload content you're entitled to upload. Don't post anything that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or image rights.
9. How to behave on Flobit
Flobit is for players. Keep it that way.
Don't:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
- Post hate speech, or attack people over race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Post sexual content, nudity, or anything sexualising a minor. Ever.
- Post violent, graphic, or shocking material.
- Impersonate another person, team, community, venue, or brand.
- Spam. That includes bulk messages, unsolicited promotion, scams, phishing, and fake tournaments or communities.
- Falsify scores, manipulate ELO, create fake accounts or guest players to inflate a rating, or otherwise cheat.
- Abuse sportsmanship ratings. Don't rate someone in retaliation for an argument, coordinate with others to raise or lower a player's average, trade ratings, or arrange matches for the purpose of rating each other. A sportsmanship rating is your honest opinion of how someone was to play with, and nothing else.
- Collect other players' data by scraping or automation.
- Break the Service — reverse engineer it, probe it, overload it, bypass rate limits, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.
- Do anything illegal, or use Flobit to arrange anything illegal.
Do: play fair, report honest scores, show up when you say you will, rate people as you'd want to be rated, and treat people the way you'd want to be treated on a court with a stranger.
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it in the app.
10. Reporting and moderation
Reporting. You can report a profile, a message, a community, or a post from inside the app, and you can block any player. Blocking stops them contacting you and hides them from you. Reports go to our moderation queue and we review them.
What we can do. We may remove content, hide it, limit its reach, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate it — where we believe these Terms have been broken, where the law requires it, or where someone's safety is at stake. We can act with or without a report, and we don't have to act on every report. Where it's practical and lawful, we'll tell you why.
Your messages. Messages are stored on our servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, so your conversations follow you from one device to the next. We are able to read message content, and we don't do so routinely. We access it when someone reports a message, when the law genuinely requires it, or when it's necessary to protect someone from serious harm. We never sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone for their own purposes. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
Unfair ratings. If you think a sportsmanship rating was given in bad faith, report the player and tell us why. We can remove ratings and stop a player giving them. Note that blocking someone does not remove a rating they gave you — we don't let the person being rated delete ratings they dislike, because a number you can change by blocking people isn't worth showing anyone.
Repeat offenders. We may permanently remove accounts that repeatedly break these Terms, and we may decline to serve someone we've removed before.
11. Ratings, ELO, sportsmanship, and match records
Flobit calculates an ELO rating per sport, keeps a record of your matches, and lets players rate each other on sportsmanship.
- Ratings and match records have no monetary value, aren't property, and can't be sold, transferred, or exchanged.
- We may recalculate, correct, or reset ratings — for example after fixing a bug in the algorithm, reversing a falsified result, removing a cheated match, or removing ratings given in bad faith. We'll try to be transparent when we do.
- Because a match involves more than one player, a match record isn't yours alone. Deleting your account doesn't erase the match from your opponents' histories; it removes your identity from it.
- Sportsmanship ratings are opinions of other players, not ours. We publish an average and a count; we don't verify any individual rating, and we don't endorse it. Individual ratings and their authors are never shown to anyone, including the person rated. You can hide your average from other players in settings. Ratings can be changed by their author for 48 hours and are fixed after that.
- A rating is a number, not a judgement of you. Don't treat someone else's as one either.
12. Apple Health
If you allow it, Flobit works with Apple Health in three ways.
Measuring. When you play with the Flobit Apple Watch app, the watch records a real workout — calories and heart rate from its sensors — and saves it to Apple Health.
Reading. When a match finishes, the Flobit iPhone app looks at Apple Health for that match's time window: the energy already recorded, and your step count. It uses this to show you what the match took out of you, and to avoid recording a workout twice when your watch already did.
Estimating. If nothing measured the match — you played without your watch, or left your phone on the bench — Flobit estimates the calories from your weight, your height, how long you played, and how the match itself went, and shows you that figure.
Saving an estimate. Flobit saves an estimate to Apple Health only when your phone was actually on you during the match, so its step data reflects how you moved. It does not save a figure worked out from a phone left on the bench, and it does not save one when a workout for that time already exists — whether your watch recorded it or another app did. You can turn saving off entirely in Flobit's settings.
What an estimate is, and isn't. It's a calculation, not a measurement. It uses published figures for how demanding each sport is, and it will be wrong for you by some margin — everyone's body is different, and a phone on a bench can't see you play. Flobit shows you clearly which number was measured and which was estimated. None of it is medical or fitness advice, and you shouldn't rely on it for anything that matters to your health. Talk to a professional for that.
Because Apple Health adds up calories from every app, workouts Flobit saves — including estimated ones — may count toward your Apple Activity rings.
Your health data stays on your device. We don't send it to our servers, we don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone for their own purposes.
You're in control. Flobit's settings have a switch for saving match workouts, and you can revoke Flobit's access to Apple Health entirely at any time in Apple's Health app. Flobit keeps working without it — you'll still see an estimate based on how long you played, just a rougher one. Workouts already saved stay in Apple Health, and you can delete them there yourself; deleting a match in Flobit does not remove a workout it already saved.
13. Third-party services
Flobit relies on services we don't control:
- Apple — the App Store, Sign in with Apple, push notifications, Apple Health, and Apple Maps data.
- Google — Sign in with Google, if you choose it.
- Google Firebase — push notification delivery.
Your use of those is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for them, and if one of them is down or changes, parts of Flobit may stop working.
Flobit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any sport's governing body, any venue, or any game publisher. Where we name a sport, a competition, or a video game title, we do so only to identify it.
14. Our intellectual property, and infringement claims
The Flobit name, logo, app design, artwork, icons, and the software itself belong to Flobit MMC and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms don't give you any right to use our branding, beyond using the app normally.
We ask you not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Flobit, or remove any notice of ownership from it.
If you believe something on Flobit infringes your rights, email [email protected] with: what the content is and where to find it in the app, what right you hold and proof of it, your contact details, and a statement that you believe the use isn't authorised. We'll review it and remove infringing content where the claim is justified.
15. Suspension, termination, and what happens to your data
You can leave any time. Delete your account in Settings → Account. It's permanent, and we'll tell you so before you confirm.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these Terms, if we're required to by law, if your account is being used to harm someone, or if we stop operating Flobit. Where we can, we'll give you notice and a reason.
What happens to your data. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymise your personal data, subject to what the law requires us to keep and to backups that are overwritten on a schedule. The Privacy Policy sets this out properly. Three things to expect:
- Matches you played remain in your opponents' histories, with your identity removed. We can't erase someone else's record of a game you both played.
- Messages you sent stay in the recipients' conversations. Deleting your account removes your side of it, not theirs — the same way an email you sent doesn't vanish from someone's inbox when you close your account.
- Sportsmanship ratings you gave stay, with your identity removed — they are information about the people you rated, not about you. Ratings you received are deleted with your profile.
What survives. Sections 8 (for content already lawfully used), 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 19 survive termination.
16. Disclaimers and the limits of our liability
We give Flobit to you as it is. We work hard on it, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that ratings, results, venue data, or notifications will always be accurate or on time. Realtime scoring depends on networks we don't control. Push notifications depend on Apple and Google.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limits on liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flobit MMC is not liable for:
- indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss;
- loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill;
- injury, loss, or damage arising from matches you play, people you meet, or venues you visit through Flobit (see section 4);
- the acts or omissions of other players, organisers, or venues, including opinions they express about you in a sportsmanship rating;
- payments you make to anyone outside Flobit, including tournament entry fees.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 AZN.
What we don't limit. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded.
If you're a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer protection law gives you. Nothing in these Terms takes those away, and where a term here conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, that right wins.
17. Changes to these Terms
Flobit changes, and these Terms will change with it.
When we make a material change, we'll tell you before it takes effect — in the app, by email, or both — and we'll update the date at the top. Minor changes, like fixing a typo or clarifying wording, take effect when we post them.
If you keep using Flobit after a change takes effect, you're accepting it. If you don't accept it, delete your account.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If we can't resolve a dispute between us informally, it will be settled by the competent courts of Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
If you're a consumer resident elsewhere, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where your law gives you that right.
Talk to us first. Most problems are faster to fix by email than in court. Write to [email protected] before you file anything, and we'll genuinely try to sort it out.
19. Terms required by Apple
Flobit is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple requires that these Terms include the following, and they apply in addition to everything above.
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Flobit MMC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Flobit app and its content.
- Your licence to use the Flobit app is a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded product you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's App Store Terms of Service — except that Flobit may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Support. Flobit MMC is solely responsible for any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide either.
- Warranty. Flobit MMC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they aren't effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
- Claims. Flobit MMC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party makes relating to the Flobit app or your possession or use of it — including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the Flobit app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Flobit MMC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Contact. Questions, complaints, and claims about the app should go to Flobit MMC at the address and email in section 20.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Flobit.
- Apple as third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of them Apple will have the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
